Things to doLet’s treat Dad - The Best Father’s Day Activities Around Our Parks
If you’re stuck for Father’s Day ideas (or even perhaps, wondering ‘when is Father’s Day?') we can help. Our article is here to give you some inspiration, along with some top present ideas to put a smile on Dad’s face.
Father’s Day lands on Sunday 19th June, and we’ve got all of our fingers and toes crossed that the weather will be sunny! But, since you can never rely on the British weather, we have listed both indoor and outdoor Father’s Day activities to cover all weather scenarios.
Our holiday parks provide some fantastic facilities and activities that are sure to entertain not only Dad, but the whole family, too! Plus, there are plenty of popular attractions nearby, should you wish to venture off the park and make a whole day of it.
Golf
Swing into action and show off your best Tiger Woods impression by spending a day out on the course with Dad! We offer a hugely diverse range of golf courses close to many of our parks, and you can view a helpful list of these here. And while we may not have full-sized golf courses available on the parks themselves, we do, however, have some fantastic crazy golf courses - including one that's dinosaur themed - that are sure to reward the family with some healthy competitive fun. Who will be the reigning champion?!
Crazy golf available at: Broadland Sands, Birchington Vale, Dovercourt, Seawick
Fishing
Many of our parks are set in beautiful coastline locations, so sea fishing is available either from the park or very nearby. In addition to that, some of our parks have well stocked carp fishing lakes. (They also provide the perfect backdrop for a #FathersDay2022 holiday snap!) Please note that UK rod licenses are required wherever you fish on UK inland waterways. You can find out more about fishing across our holiday parks here.
Fishing available at: Coghurst Hall, Carlton Meres, Chichester Lakeside, Golden Sands, St Osyth Beach, Steeple Bay
Watersports and Boating
There are plenty of gorgeous spots along the south coast to enjoy some boating and watersports. We welcome all boat owners, and some parks even offer slipways, moorings, and yard storage. If your Dad is a bit of an adrenalin junkie, then why not book for him to experience some nearby watersports? We have some exclusive discounts available for nearby watersports which you can view here and take advantage of.
*Boating facilities available at: Solent Breezes, Steeple Bay, Pevensey Bay
*Facilities vary per park
Other Great Entertainment and Activities
Lots of our parks now offer additional entertainment and activities to suit everyone’s taste, so there’s sure to be something that will put a smile on your Dad’s face and help you create memories together. These include climbing walls, segways, water walkers, sea scooters, crafty pottery and hover archery. You can view which parks these are available at here. (Please note that there are additional charges for some activities).
If you want to really go that extra mile, why not surprise Dad with a short break away? Check out Fathers Day weekend availability here, there are some fantastic holiday deals to be had.
