Holiday Parks in Dorset
Dorset boasts one of England’s most spectacular stretches of coastline. At Park Holidays UK, we offer a choice of two stunning parks among the county’s beautiful landscapes, woodland and sandy beaches.
The choice is yours. Head southwest to the beautiful seaside village of Charmouth, where our brand new park, Wood Farm, awaits. Set on a stunning hillside location with magnificent views, and just a short walk away from dramatic coastal scenery and the sandy Charmouth Beach, this locale is famous for its rugged coastline, rich with fossils from the Jurassic period. Extending eastwards from Lyme Regis, the beaches are perfect for family holidays.
Alternatively, head east to the town of Christchurch, at the heart of Dorset, nestled between Bournemouth and the New Forest. Here you will find Sandhills Holiday Park, overlooking the beach and Mudeford Quay. Christchurch makes for a great day out - the town's harbour is quite spectacular, while its nature reserves, beaches and historical buildings draw visitors back year after year.
Sandhills Holiday Park is the perfect spot to head to for a caravan, apartment or lodge holiday in Dorset, with loads to get up to on the park, and plenty of fantastic attractions and destinations within easy reach.
The park itself is on the sea front, offering you a chance to head down to the water and take advantage of Dorset's finest beaches. You can also spend some time on our sun terrace, soaking up the rays and basking in the warmth. Sandhills sees more returning visitors than any of our other parks, and if you do decide to have your holiday here, you'll soon realize its enduring appeal.
Our holiday park in Dorset is just a short distance from Bournemouth, a lively town with lots to see and do. You can visit the gardens, take advantage of the modern shopping districts or step back in time on the historic piers. You'll also find loads of great places to eat in case you'd like to enjoy some fine dining during your holiday. Bournemouth is also the place to head if you want to experience a great social scene and renowned nightlife.
Christchurch isn't far from the park, and you'll find that it makes for a great day out. The town's harbour is huge and an impressive sight, but it’s the beaches, nature reserves and historical buildings that see visitors return time and again. Walking around Christchurch, you can see buildings that date back to the 11th century, including Christchurch Castle, which dates from the Norman era, and Christchurch Priory, which was built as a monastery in the 11th century. There's also Highcliffe Castle, an incredible building with amazing grounds that was built between 1831 and 1835. The town's annual food & wine festival and the music festival are also big hits and a perfect time to visit Dorset for foodies and dancers!
With so much to do in Dorset, it's no wonder that Sandhills is one of our most beloved caravan parks. Not only do you have a fantastic beach within easy reach of the park itself, but a short drive will take you to busy, urban Bournemouth, or the quiet, idyllic New Forest, or to historic Christchurch. There's something for everybody in this county, and you can enjoy it all, and more, by staying with us in our beautiful Dorset caravan holiday park.
Sandhills also has a limited number of holiday home and lodges for sale for those who would love the holiday experience all season long.
