Paignton Zoo

After a hearty breakfast in the clubhouse, it’s time to start the days adventures. Kick off the memory making with a trip to Paignton Zoo, open from 10am offering face-to-face experiences with some of the world’s most beautiful animals. As a member of the Wild Planet Trust, the zoo works with organisations to conserve species and their habitats.

Get up close and personal with animal experience events where you can feed Giraffes, Rhinos, Meerkats and more.

With many delicious on-site eateries, grab a bite before you leave at the Hangout Pizzeria, Great Griller Burger Shack or Sweet Treat Hut.

Paignton Pier

End the day surrounded by the magical lights of one Devon’s top family attractions, Paignton Pier. With traditional coin push games, air hockey and toy grabbers as well as some of the latest video games, there’s hours of fun reminiscent of many seaside holidays.

End the evening with a bag of fish and chips and enjoy a peaceful stroll along Paignton beach.

Quaywest Water Park

As the afternoon hits and the weather warms up, venture to the largest outdoor waterpark in the UK, Splashdown Quaywest is a great option for guests seeking an exciting afternoon.

Set the pace with a fantastic range of rides suitable for all ages. As thrill seekers enjoy an afternoon filled with excitement, others can soak up the sunny Paignton weather while they relax poolside!

The park describes itself as more than just ‘rides and waterslides’ with an arcade, shop and swimming area as well as a beach bar, donut and ice cream hut. Offering plenty for an afternoon in the sun.

Dartmouth steam railway and riverboat

Worth pencilling in an entire day for, is the Round Robin tour with the Dartmouth steam railway and riverboat company. Ideally situated across the Devon coastline (running through our very own Waterside Holiday Park), discover a truly unique experience with journeys on a steam train, riverboat and bus, all surrounded by the stunning beauty that occupies the English Riviera.

Excursions start at around late morning, usually returning at about 5pm. Offering an entire day of adventure, exploring the quaint towns of Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes.

The Palace Theatre

Before heading to your evening show, grab a bite to eat at nearby Mediterranean restaurant, The Avenue Bistro. Serving steaks, burgers and fish, traditional Sunday lunches and delicious dishes for the veggies and vegans among us!

Once bellies are full it’s time to sit back and relax with a show at The Palace Theatre. Offering fun for all ages and tastes with performances of Toy Story, The Freddie and Queen Experience and a firm favourite, Chicago.* (to name a few!)
