A Random Act of Kindness - The Gammon Family

As we all continue to live our very busy lives, small gestures and random acts of kindness often go unnoticed. It is a rarity that we hear of people going out of their way to make someone’s day, or in the case of the Gammon Family, making someone’s year.

The Gammon Family have been holiday home owners at our Birchington Vale Holiday Park since February 2020. After frequently staying at the park touring field for over 20 years, it was time to invest in their very own holiday home.

Just before Christmas, the daughter of the Gammon family saw a Facebook advert of a young family asking for somewhere to stay temporarily in Margate, which is only ten minutes away from Birchington Vale Holiday Park.

Without knowing why the family was looking for temporary housing, the Gammon Family decided to help in any way they could. After meeting the young family it transpired that they had lost their house in a fire and ended up losing everything that belonged to them.

Not only did the Gammon Family offer up their own holiday home, what makes this act so special and kind is that they allowed the young family to stay free of charge. It was more important to the Gammon Family that their guests had somewhere to be for Christmas, without the worry of the young children having to spend Christmas in a hotel room.

Our holiday home owners have always been welcoming and caring individuals who take pride in the community at our parks. People like the Gammon family who go above and beyond to help those in need make us proud at Park Holidays UK, so we would like to recognise this random act of kindness and say thank you for your generosity.
