To get things started, you need to switch off your water.
Find the stopcock (usually under the caravan or inside a cupboard) and turn it off completely. If you have an external water supply, disconnect it too.

- Clean and air your caravan thoroughly, opening all windows and doors to dry it out
- Ventilate cupboards and wardrobes
- Move furniture that could be at risk of damp damage away from walls, into the middle of the room. Don’t forget your mattress
- Empty your fridge freezer and cupboards of perishables. If keeping cans, put paper underneath to avoid rust damage
