Park Holidays UK welcomes nature-friendly Yorkshire park to its portfolio
Park Holidays UK is "proud and delighted" to be the new owner of Kingfisher Holiday Park near the historic market town of Knaresborough in North Yorkshire.
The acquisition of the long-established business, features two lakes and a wildlife-rich nature reserve.
This now brings the number of UK parks operated by the group to 55.
Kingfisher, says Park Holidays UK, will provide holiday home ownership opportunities for those seeking a peaceful countryside retreat just a few miles from the spa town of Harrogate.
It will also be welcoming motorhome, touring caravan and camping guests. Facilities include 10amp electric hook-ups for both grass and hard-standing pitches as standard, laundry facilities, and a fully-serviced toilet and shower building.
Kingfisher's tranquil wooded grounds can be explored along a series of trails, giving enchanting views of the surrounding landscapes.
These include two spring-fed lakes which are a magnet for resident and visiting bird species including the elusive kingfisher, and which support a range of aquatic life such as dragonflies and waterfowl.
Holiday homes will be available to buy in a development of luxury holiday homes located around the lake.
"Kingfisher Holiday Park makes for an idyllic get-away location in so many different ways," said Brad May, Chief Marketing Officer for Park Holidays UK.
"It's right in the heart of some of North Yorkshire's most beautiful countryside, but only a short drive to York and other popular visitor destination such as Fountains Abbey.
"The park has attracted a host of glowing reviews over the years. They boast its peacefulness, immaculate grounds and beautiful dog-friendly walking areas, making it especially popular with pet-owning families.
"Kingfisher provides us with another valuable presence in rural northern England, and is a perfect fit to our other award-winning countryside and coastal parks across the UK.
"The park offers great potential, and we will be considering how we best invest to build on its many existing strengths," said Brad.
Kingfisher Holiday Park has now been added to the group's website at parkholidays.com which includes details of touring and camping breaks starting from £32 per night.
Touring breaks are offered from March to November, and seasonal touring pitches and storage are also available. For more information, take a look at Kingfisher Holiday Park.
