Park Family Model Shoot Experience – The Reade Family

How did you find the shoot?

The shoot itself felt very natural – although there were many shots the majority were us being able to have fun as a family, which is so important to us when coming away on holiday together. The photographers were amazing whilst working with us, they were very enthusiastic about the shoot, whilst also making sure we were having a good time.

How did you find the holiday park in Marlie, Kent?

We thought that Marlie was a superb holiday park! As soon as we arrived at the park the staff made us feel very welcome, not only that the facilities on the site were modern, the little shop was well stocked, and the swimming pool was excellent.

The night-time entertainment was brilliant, and the entertainment team worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was having a great evening. We also managed to fit in Pottery, Teddy making and the Segway’s, all these were excellent value for money and great fun.

What was your favourite think about the surrounding area?

There was a few, we visited the beautiful sandy beach called Camber Sands, we also managed to have a look round the pretty town of Rye. My personal favourite was having food and drinks on the harbour of Folkestone after a long day on the beach.

What was your favourite memory from the whole experience?

Our favourite thing about our time at Marlie would have to be the family time we spent together – and seeing the enjoyment on the kids faces throughout the week. It was also our first time visiting the coast of Kent, so that was a very exciting experience for us.

How do you find holidaying in the UK compared with a holiday abroad?

We personally find holidaying in the UK less stressful, as you can just get in the car when suits you best. The UK also has those home from home comforts, an added bonus is there are plenty of beautiful places to visit.

What would you say to anyone who’s unsure about entering the competition themselves to become a park family?

Do it! When I told my wife we had won I wasn’t sure about her reaction of having our photos taken on holiday. Once we started it was so fun and we all said we would do it again in a heartbeat. From visiting the holiday park, meeting the photography team, the staff on site, and of course Kelly, Rhea and Sophie from Park Holidays who go above and beyond getting you prepped for it all.
