- About us
We're committed to making recycling simple when you're on our parks
Here at Park Holidays, we are committed to recycling wherever possible and taking steps to minimise waste.
It's our collective responsibility to do our bit and with your help we can manage waste sustainably.
We follow both the Simpler Recycling England regulations brought in on 31 March 2025 and the Welsh Waste Consistency (WWC) regulations on 6 April 2024. Both aim to make recycling easier and end the confusion on what can and can't be recycled.
We practice Simpler Recycling across all our parks in England, Scotland and Wales.

Separating your recyclables
Preserve the stunning landscapes you’ve come to enjoy at Park Holidays by recycling your waste. Park Holidays is working towards a sustainable future, but we need your support.
We need to team up on every park and separate our recyclables to help in processing and make our planet a better place.
Here is a table of recyclables that must be rinsed of food residue.
Make sure you don't add items that can't be recycled.
| Food waste | Food waste only - including coffee grounds, tea bags and peelings |
| Glass | Clear and coloured glass bottles and jars |
| Cardboard and Paper | Cardboard & paper |
| Dry Mixed Recycling | Card, paper, plastic containers, food tins and drink cans |
| General Waste | All non-recylable materials |
Recycling type | Do not include |
Food waste | Packaging (like plastic film and wrappers), sachets, blue roll and napkins |
Glass | Broken crockery, plastic bottles and dirty glass jars |
Cardboard & Paper | Napkins, dirty food boxes, wooden cutlery and paper straws |
Dry Mixed Recycling | Glass and food waste |
General Waste | Electric items and batteries |
- Grab a bag - Guests are provided with clear bags to clearly identify what items are going to waste.
- Split your recyclables - You will need to separate your waste and recyclables following the rules above.
- Find the bin - our bins are clearly colour-coded and located in the bin bays that can be found around the parks. The park maps show the location of the bin bays and types of bin.
