Isle of Wight steam train festival 'is a summer highlight'
Britons planning to book a last-minute break for the upcoming bank holiday weekend might like to choose Hampshire as their destination.
That is because the Island Steam Show is coming to the Isle of Wight from Friday (August 26th) until Monday.
Tourism South East recently named it as one of its top days out for the weekend and noted a host of locomotives will be on show for visitors to enjoy.
It highlighted Mr Alexander's Travelling Show as the must-see attraction at the event and promised plenty of children's entertainment will be on offer.
Now, the Guardian has also praised the festival, identifying it as one of August's best days out.
The newspaper said there is nothing to dislike about such a fun and light-hearted fair, with everything from real ale to juggling balls featuring.
Adults should note the event costs £14 for them to enter, while admission for children is £7 and under-fives are free.
