The Hairy Bikers want Park Holidays UK guests to star in their new BBC series

Hairy Bikers plea to Park Holidays UK guests: Please come and cook for us!

Television's Hairy Bikers Dave Myers (right) and his pal Si King are on the lookout for families to take part in a new BBC TV cookery contest this autumn. And they hope that among Park Holidays UK guests there may be some families with a real passion for food who would like to take part.

The Hairy Bikers' Cook-Off (working title) will be on at 5.15pm on BBC2 every week day between October and December 2010.

Each day, two family teams (each comprising three people) will come on the show. They will show off their signature dish, learn top tips from the Hairy Bikers, and try out a few challenges. There will also be a celebrity guest each day - and the series will culminate in one family being crowned Britain's Best Cooking Family by the hairy duo.

Families mustn't have professional cooking qualifications or make their living from cooking, but they should be passionate about food and eating. Each team should consist of three members... either three adults, or two adults and a child (over 12). Mums, dads, aunts, uncles. cousins: any family group will be fine.

The BBC will be auditioning all around the UK in late July/early August (including London).
