Goodbyes are great buys as parks clear showgrounds
Prices of new 2017 holiday homes have been sent spiralling downwards at Park Holidays UK, thanks to the arrival in November of over £5 million worth of 2018 models.
It means that the group is now in a race against time to clear showground space on its parks for the incoming holiday lodges and caravan holiday homes.
With the clock ticking, Park Holidays UK has decided that there is no alternative but to strip literally thousands of pounds from the price of its 2017 stock.
And to further speed up sales, customers who make buying decisions before 31st December are being told that they will have no pitch fees to pay throughout 2018.
The holiday homes are largely ex-display models from leading UK manufacturers, many with luxury specifications and additional equipment and features installed.
Starting from £35,000, the unused 2017 stock ranges from starter-models aimed at first-time buyers to top-end caravan holiday homes and lodges.
There are opportunities across the group's 28 Southern England holiday parks – and low-deposit finance can also be provided if families prefer not to use their own funds.
Although the main holiday period is officially at an end, says Park Holidays UK, the season still has some way to run for anybody choosing to buy now.
That's because most of the company's parks are open for 11.5 months of the year, so new owners can take advantage of winter escapes both before and after Christmas.
And because the 2017 models are already located on the parks, they can be commissioned and handed over to families within days of the sale being finalised.
This year, the group reports, its parks have benefitted from massive investments to extend even further the range of facilities and attractions available to owners.
And, it says, the spending is far from over – for in 2018, more than £20 million has been earmarked for additional improvements from swimming pools to clubhouses.
