Touring Sites & Parks in Devon

Well-known for its sandy beaches, seaside towns and cream teams, discover the delights of Devon's spectacular scenery, with lots of places to visit for days out.

Devon is a great place to take a touring or camping holiday, and perfect for exploring. Devon's coast has plenty of walking routes that will take you along beaches, over cliffs and let you see the many fantastic spots of the glorious Devon coastline.

As for visitor attractions, there are plenty to choose from. More than you could possibly see in one visit, which is just one reason that you'll want to keep coming back for multiple camping or caravanning stays at Golden Sands in Dawlish and Hedley Wood in Holsworthy near Bude.

From Golden Sands holiday park in South of Devon, you can easily reach Paignton Zoo and the Living Coast, two attractions that allow you to see some wonderful animals and learn a lot about the natural world. Why not take a look at Crealy Adventure Park, which is great fun for kids of all ages, or the Ashcombe Adventure Centre, where you and the family can try out archery, shooting, paintball and more?

There’s also the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway, which, along with the Dartmouth River Cruises, can be a wonderful way to explore one of Devon's most beautiful areas. That's just the tip of the iceberg too. That's loads to do around the area, and you won't ever get close to running out of ideas while on tour here.

Or head north, to Hedley Wood holiday park in Holsworthy near Bude, located right on the Cornwall and Devon border - follow trails along North Devon's rugged cliffs and golden beaches or pop over the border to Cornwall and catch a wave or two.

Rightfully celebrated as some of the most beautiful in the UK, the coast is another amazing place to go exploring. Devon's coast has plenty of hiking routes that will take you along beaches, over cliffs and along some fantastic spots of the Devon coastline. If you're lucky, you might even spot some of the birds and wildlife that make their homes along the cliffs or cliff tops (once you get a bit further away from the towns).

It’s clear that Devon is the sparkling jewel in the UK’s crown - so why not plan your camping or caravanning visit this touring season?
