The Temptations Richard Street to perform in Torquay
American soul and R&B singer Richard Street is to perform on the English Riviera this autumn, it has been announced.
The iconic performer, who is best known as a member of legendary vocal group The Temptations from 1971 - 1993, will be hitting Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay on Friday 19 October.
Now presenting some of The Temptations finest hits in its 5 man format, carrying the torch after the band’s original members all passed on, Richard leads a line up consisting of Lawrence Jones, Eddie Watkins, Larry Johnson and Bob Henley III (formerly of Smokey Robinson).
Some of The Temptations major hits when Richard was lead vocalist include “Superstar (Remember How You Got Where You Are)” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone”, evidencing his talent as a leading performer
It could be a great night out for any of those enjoying a autumn break in one of the stunning holiday parks in South Devon.
