The Chieftains confirm Ipswich date on UK tour
Irish Folk group The Chieftains have announced they will be performing In Ipswich this coming June, visiting the Suffolk town as part of an intense UK tour.
Originally formed in 1962, the Chieftains are a group that need no introduction, highly regarded among fellow musicians and seen as the most influential bands in promoting Irish music around the world. They have been showered in awards, winning six Grammys and nominated for a staggering 18. Other accolades include an Emmy and a Genie, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award from BBC Radio 2. They have worked tirelessly to release 41 studio albums during their career, including 'Voice of Ages' which is expected to be released later this month.
They will be performing at Ipswich's Regent Theatre on the 9th June, with tickets expected to sell out fast. If you happen to be staying in one of the nearby caravan parks and want to add the performance to your itinerary, be sure book your ticket right away.
