Shakespeare's As You Like It to feature on Exeter Stage
Exeter is preparing to welcome a touch of Shakespeare, with a rendition of the much loved 'As you Like it' preparing to open from next month.
First published back in the 17th century, it is a highly regarded production from the famous playwright. The latest version is sure to be a show of high regard, with director Amanda Knott calling the shots as she injects a fresh approach while maintaining the traditional appeal of the production. As You Like It follows the treacherous journey of Rosalind as she flees from her uncle's court to avoid persecution. She employs the help of her cousin Celia and Touchstone, the humorous Court Jester to escape to the Forest of Arden, where she falls in love.
As You Like It will feature at Exeter's New Theatre from 16 February, playing nightly until its final curtain call on 25 February. If you happen to be staying in any of the holiday parks in Devon during the period, why not come along and experience the show for yourself?
