Funding for theatre companies and venue in Exeter
Theatres and theatre companies in Exeter have been named recipients of a £750,000 fund provided by Arts Council England, it has been revealed.
The Exeter Northcott theatre will receive £375,000 over three years, whilst entertainment company Theatre Alibi will be given £13,221 to provide rehearsal space for theatre companies in the city. A final sum of £361,779 will be given to Kaleider, which is a new consortium of theatre companies based in Exeter.
Arts Council England director for the south west Phil Gibby said: “This fund will provide opportunities for audiences in Exeter to experience the very best theatre. Live performances will animate the city and local people will have the opportunity to watch and take part in exciting projects”.
