Colchester Zoo to celebrate St George’s Day

With St George’s Day approaching, Colchester Zoo has announced that they will be marking the occasion with a fantastic weekend of family-friendly activities and displays.

Celebrating the patron saint of England’s legendary battle on 21 and 22 April, the zoo will be offering visitors of all ages the chance to see a kimono dragon being trained (as well as crocodiles); win prizes with a dragon piñata; and have fun with a hands-on, dragon-themed craft workshop. And, of course, the ancient story of George and the Dragon will be entertainingly retold in the zoo’s Displays arena.

Along with all these dragon-related activities, guests will also be able to embark on a fantasy train ride around the zoo, enjoy the performances of a hilarious jester, and delight in a bird show with a medieval twist.

So, if you are thinking of going on holiday or are looking at static caravans for sale, consider a break in Colchester or the surrounding area.
