ABI Derwent - Model Details
The Derwent is our brand new wheelchair friendly model for 2013 - proving once and for all that you don’t have to compromise on style or comfort to create a space that has full wheelchair accessibility throughout. From the wider doorframes and lowered worktops, to the groundbreaking wet room with moulded floor, every detail has been carefully considered to make life easier.
Naturally, we’ve also taken care to include the everyday luxuries our holiday homes are known for, like generous L-shaped lounge seating, a free standing dining table and a designer galley kitchen with ample storage. The main bedroom has two single 3ft divan beds which can be brought together to create a super king! Plus, both our master and twin room has plenty of space for wheelchair access or room for a mobile ‘patient helper’.
The ABI Derwents includes beautiful panoramic lounge windows, domestic suites and fully fitted luxurious bedrooms to provide practical yet luxurious holiday accommodation.
A brand new addition to the ABI line up for 2011 are the Derwents. Two layouts are available with optional front french doors and spacious lounge areas that contain 2 and 3 seater sofas, (in the fixed front window version an upholstered storage/bench seat is included). The corner TV/display/storage area, fire surround, coffee table are all in the Romana Cherry finish, as is the free standing dining table and 4 chairs. The Derwents feature well appointed ‘U’ shaped kitchens complete with domestic style gas cooker and hood, a stainless steel sink/drainer and mixer tap plus space allowance for optional fridge/freezer and microwave.
All Derwent bedrooms provide large storage areas with upholstered headboards and overhead cupboards, bedside cabinets for that early morning cuppa, a dressing table, mirror and stool. The twin room complements the main bedroom and also incorporates a flexible single bed option. The centrally positioned bathroom incorporates a large enclosed shower with sliding door plus an attractive pedestal unit with inset washbasin, mirror and shelf.
